Ok. Guys. guys. like. Whatever nostalgia was going around in popular media for years, this was the first half of the 80s. Those warm comforting voices, everything is cozy or comes with a cheezy little story. dunno. That 70s show was close to that feel maybe.

....I bet there's jobs where all you do is determine and add 2D celshading.

The style is what I expected anime to look like getting into it but I was a decade too late

Sometimes, universes you wished were explored more in anime have been made long ago. We just arrived too late. Seeing bits of Relic Armor Legaciam looks very much like most modern scifi-fantasy japanese game.

Just saw the Outlanders ova. There are a lot of details in it that I do miss a lot from anime. The way there's beautiful awesome sfx animations by hand, certain types of expressions and motions, some shots clearly meant to look like illustrations, heavy celshade use. Characters have presence.

Been thinking, I could try experimental small comics with those styles as a patreon. like 1 to 3 pages, just seeing how a world drawn in these different ways would play out. even incomplete stories if i have to, could just be someone filling up a bucket with water and leaving with it. ....
