I remember a while ago opening Facebook on my computer, starting a post, and seeing pictures that I’d recently taken on my phone.
Facebook was apparently trying out a feature to sync your photos so you wouldn’t even need to upload them.

If I want to share something, I have to click Manage, make sure I select “more” (not All), select the meme, hit Done, and then find the thing I’ve just granted Facebook access to in Facebook’s photo picker.
In other apps (like bsky), I just hit “Add photo” and select in iOS.

It’s not for lack of platform-specific APIs. They even give you the option to open the iOS dialog to grant access to more/all photos.
But iOS presents “all” and “more” as equal options.

This matters for a few reasons:
- I don't have to use the `git pull` integration, which gives me significantly less control over when and how I update my config
- I can unit test!
- If something breaks, I can roll back
- Spending time on this allowed me to dissociate from the...state of things
