Abstinence from social media while the kids were out for winter break was an amazing mood enhancer. I’m not some crazy, new-wave, hippy dude and not that anyone asked; but that old saying ‘everything in moderation’ applies to the digital world as well as alcohol, sweets and RomComs.

Interesting exchange in the bathroom of a nice restaurant last weekend. Gentleman clearly trying to do a little toot at the sink, hurriedly puts away his stash. Awkward, I walk to pisser and say, ‘don’t worry I’m not a cop’ .. without missing a beat, offers me a ‘keyster’ … ‘I’m good man, be safe’

Back during the pandemic I fulfilled a life long goal and purchased my ‘happy place’, a few dozen acres of land in rural middle TN. I’ve experimented with lots of things; but nothing puts me in ‘the zone’ like being out here, among the nothing and nobody.
