I remember that, and the conflicting video evidence. It was never satisfactorily resolved at the time and may never be, to everyone's satisfaction: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Ahli...

That's an odd mind to be in, having just looked it up! "Remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future."

But just sticking with the "fight" bit at the end meant being more longwinded to get from fight to walk... "I love Pennsylvania Avenue".

@daimoon.bsky.social, as I recall, put me onto the kayfabing of US politics, @digitaldang.bsky.social but there's an increasing number of pieces on the subject.
Now Trump is busy taunting the BBC with the perfection of his lie- (and hate-) filled speech at the Ellipse.

I bought those very Cain, Hammett and Chandler (very-ish, different cover, methinks) collections in one go about... *cough* years ago. Will check out the bottom left collection!

Here's a transcript of the speech - it's accurate enough: www.npr.org/2021/02/10/9... Here's how Trump concludes. As the Telegraph unintentionally confirmed, the only reference to behaving "peacefully" was about 50 minutes earlier. I'm sure they all remembered that, rather than to fight, to be bold!

But where can I see the edited clip from Panorama in its original context? The Telegraph report itself was factually misleading. It's frustrating to only get the one side and then the heads roll and Trump's team applaud, job done.

You left out "... and the BBC’s own baffling inability or unwillingness to defend itself over the past week." You can't edit what people say. That's ridiculous.

What I don't like is the Telegraph have their own side-by-side edits but I can't see the Panorama clip in context in the programme anywhere. How was it actually framed?
The Telegraph's 50-minutes-apart angle in the article is certainly not foolproof. How do we know if the Telegraph is playing fair?

I ended up having to unscrew a couple of cassettes and respool. The old tape joins had given out.

Similar to you. I did also rewind an audio cassette with a pencil in the last few weeks.
