Been having a weird time over on FB, where the majority of my family and peers are suddenly really upset about political violence.
Every time I have one of these high-engagement posts I notice two things: 1) the people in the reactions are always people I truly like and respect. And B) the loudest and angriest always seem to be...the opposite? Like, why are you even seeing the things I say? You should know by now I am not for you. If you actually believe non-white people or queer people or poor people or women or Jewish people, or (insert marginalized people here) are the cause of any of your problems, then you suck. If you think for one second the fact that my 7 year old son now knows what to do in the event of a school shooter is AT ALL NORMAL OR ACCEPTABLE, then you are scum. If you tear away people's rights in the name of "protecting children" and are happily ignoring the fact the most powerful man on the planet is a fucking PEDOPHILE, then you deserve the hell you believe in. You are a bad person, and you should be made to feel bad.
