Newspaper bloke. Politics geek. Festival lover. Rocker, and a roller too, baby. Queue here to complain society is not as good as it used to be.
I'd be interested to know if @bethrigby.bsky.social, or any other reporters have ever written descriptions of the Mail, Telegraph, etc, like this?
Not that I can recall... 🤔

Is this true? From memory, News Shopper always covered at least some of these patches?

Apparently, the likes of Bradman and Coward left messages in the house - *but they've been covered up!* 😲
Still, it does have a swimming pool...

The property - a five-bed house in Burnham on Sea - was owned by writer Ben Travers - who installed a number of tasteful features, including a panelled billiards room...

Translatable to his approach to democracy/government, I'd say.
We don't want anyone else to have it, so we'll break it.

And, a bit further up the road, a second sign for the junction features an attempt at correcting the spelling - which makes the sign look a little odd! 😆
Hey, at least it means it's spelt correctly.

I admit to being frightfully uninformed about the Greek financial crisis, so read this to swot up - and I'm glad I did.
It reads like a thriller (more so for those, like me, with no clue as to the ins and outs).
But be warned, it's heartbreaking. 😔
Amazing, @yanisvaroufakis.bsky.social, thank you.

Just finished reading John Bolton's book (I know, I know), which I finally got round to starting ahead of #Trump 2.0.
The manner in which DJT approaches decision making - and the rationale for those decisions (which are inherently based on misinformation and only really about *him* - is terrifying.

So many times before, I've considered the right-wing grift may have jumped the shark.
But it continues unabated, with nothing that can't be defended, it seems.
Here, Isabel Oakeshott tells folks to ignore horrendous domestic violence carried out by an *MP*.
Because he's on her side... 😩🤦‍♂️
