The thing is, you sometimes can't tell if MattY is doing a bit or not. He's fucking insufferable.

NIMBYs help create sprawl by preventing infill housing construction in urban areas and pushing development further out. YIMBYs don’t want sprawl; we want denser housing near transit and job centers.

What Schumer did almost 20 years ago doesn’t seem relevant now. He is a terrible Senate Democratic leader.
November 16, 2025 at 4:41 AM
Reporting indicates that he has the tacit backing of the DSCC and Schumer. And he hasn’t yet called for Schumer to step down.
November 11, 2025 at 11:26 AM
Because that would be a fucking massive waste of time, effort, and money when taking over the Democratic party is far easier. Third parties aren't viable under our system.
November 11, 2025 at 12:42 AM
Fuck you, Sheldon
November 11, 2025 at 12:18 AM
Tell your fellow Senators to stay united. You have no idea how much you have pissed off the Democratic base. Wake the fuck up.
November 10, 2025 at 10:16 PM
Exactly. TikTok and Instagram are already flooded with videos and posts of people asking what was the point of the shutdown if the Dems were going to cave. Those videos/posts are going to do real damage to the party among people who make up the base.

Turek is Schumer’s candidate?
November 10, 2025 at 4:28 AM
Raising money isn't going to be a problem in 2026 for any Dem candidate. There's going to be plenty of money going around to wage good campaigns in those states and for primary challenges to incumbents.
November 10, 2025 at 4:05 AM
I'm an AFGE member and will definitely vote against him.
November 10, 2025 at 3:16 AM
The rank and file Fed workers don’t want this deal. AFGE membership is pissed off at Everett Kelley for caving!
November 10, 2025 at 2:58 AM
This fucking moron. Primary her ass in 2028.
November 10, 2025 at 2:47 AM
God I wish Jennifer Carroll Foy would launch a challenge against Warner.
November 10, 2025 at 2:31 AM
What makes you think Fed workers actually want the Dems to cave? We want to get paid but we don't want to reward the people who have been going after us all year.
November 10, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Dude, I'm a federal worker in DC. I've missed 2 paychecks and a chunk of a third. I'm incredibly pissed that the Senate Dems failed to hold the line.
November 10, 2025 at 2:23 AM
I think you need to learn how politics actually works. You think it's a coincidence that all of the no votes were retiring or not up for election next year?
November 10, 2025 at 2:21 AM
Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
November 10, 2025 at 2:18 AM
Same here. It's fucking infuriating to see our sacrifice was for nothing.
November 10, 2025 at 1:51 AM
Kaine's probably giving him cover
November 10, 2025 at 1:39 AM
The meeting was actually on Oct 28 but here are a couple of quotes:

“Is AFGE still in favor of folding? If so, how can I cancel my dues?”

“AFGE chose the side that’s attacking us!”
November 10, 2025 at 1:17 AM
Bad take. The actual AFGE membership is pissed at Kelley for wanting to cave. And those of us who are feds in the DC area wanted a shutdown to fight back against this administration.
November 10, 2025 at 1:11 AM
The AFGE membership doesn’t even want this. Everett Kelley was overwhelmingly criticized during a membership meeting last week.
November 10, 2025 at 1:06 AM
As a federal agency lawyer, I just have to fucking laugh at the idea that any new statutory language is going to constrain this administration.
November 10, 2025 at 12:41 AM
I didn’t expect to win everything. But Dems aren’t getting anything meaningful out of this. Blue MAGA folks like you are delusional.
