The distribution shows that while there was a high primary vote for minor parties and INDs, these people weren't hating the majors, just liking someone else more. Of voters for candidates outside the top 3, 72.2% put one of the majors ahead of Hopper.

The AEC published their margins for the next federal election earlier today, which will be the basis for calculating swings. But in a number of non-classic seats, despite their best efforts, I don't think their margins accurately reflect the seat. I explained more here:

A very common misconception I see is that it is necessary to vote below the line in the Senate to control where your preferences go. This was true for Senate elections from 1984 to 2014 but is no longer true. (It is still true in the Vic state upper house for now.)
