Bringing together theoretical insight and lived experience, we’ll reflect on how vulnerability can function as a tool of governance within an austere and hostile socio-political landscape, and consider how ethical, reflexive research might challenge systems that produce harm.

I’ll be convening a panel I’m really proud of: ‘Policing the Margins: When Vulnerability and Criminalisation Intersect’

We’ll examine how policing practices frame minoritised communities as both at risk and a risk, and explore the implications for belonging and citizenship in today’s UK.

I look forward to further engaging with his insights on authoritarian governance as we explore the dynamics of policing vulnerable communities within the UK context. /4
