These concepts are antithetical to the way far too many people think to various degrees. It's also difficult to change given that learning requires you to believe you can learn things and you don't have to succeed in being the best at something to be valuable. I think it's a lot and sad and scary.

That's the problem with conservatism that's so ingrained in society. It paints people as inherently smart or dumb. Instead knowledge and understanding merely being what you have successfully learned. Different people intuit different things easier than others. It's also okay to be okay at things.

I get the frustration. I just fundamentally have issues with inherent evil as it's a concept rooted in biological essentialism, which is a very conservative framing of the world.
Conservatives often don't believe people or systems can or should change so they aren't motivated to change. It's awful.
