I know we all probably know this, but always good to remind people that Canada, Mexico, and China don’t pay for these tariffs, whoever imports the goods into the US do.
The 10/25% rise in cost is taken on by American companies who will pass it on to us. Yay.

I know we all probably know this, but always good to remind people that Canada, Mexico, and China don’t pay for these tariffs, whoever imports the goods into the US do.

@mmccue.bsky.social finally testing out Surf. I think the concept of Discuss, Watch, Read, Listen, Look is very compelling. Watch especially because most of us don’t get such filtered topic based feeds from YouTube where there is so much valuable content.

My number one New Year’s resolution is to basically live by this @knguyen.bsky.social article about how to read more books — especially replacing all my aimless scrolling with reading a few pages. (I will not be replacing podcasts, though. Podcasts rule.)

Build my first app using Cursor. It’s a simple Chrome extension that replaces the new tab page in your browser. It lets you type in markdown and saves it to local storage.
Great for keeping a simple todo list or some quick notes when working in the browser all day.
