An anthro female-presenting character is halfway down some unknown characters throat, topless. Her expression is flustered, concerned, and blushy. She appears to be resisting her current situation. However, this character enjoys this act, and consented to it in advance of the picture's available context. There are millions of art pieces like this that would be falsely flagged as 'rape' by an abusive and vague reporting system by bad faith actors who simply don't like what they're looking at. A large speech bubble is to the left: "I have to say that I consented to being eaten by this unknown character because I am a singular image being shown with little to no context with an 'atypical' expression of arousal, which includes a worried expression and signs of resistance. The character eating me has a very close relationship with me, but you wouldn't know that from a single image! This could have simply been tagged and filtered by Bluesky's self-moderation, but instead, if I don't say out loud that I consented to this kink scenario I find myself in, I am at risk for getting my artist banned by bad faith users that report anything they don't like as 'nonconsensual sexual material'! There is no way to protect against this, by bluesky's own vague rules, aside from openly saying that I consented to this scenario, thus ruining the freedom of viewer interpretation, taking away people's rights to see legal content, and otherwise putting any artist that firmly falls in this vague rule's 'gray area' at risk of being completely de-platformed because Bluesky wants to censor certain content, but won't even define exactly what about it will be the parameters by which content will be reported and banned. Nobody wins in this situation. But sure, Thanks for being fake-concerned about the consent of fictional characters and not listening to those "14,000+ users" you claim to have heard." And the thousands of others that are now speaking up.

Great article about why kink art is so important
It hadn't occurred to me that this might be more than a strange personal thought experiment until I saw a depiction of self-flagellation in the movie "A Nun's Story" and decided to try whipping myself with a belt. My reaction was sexual, rather than spiritual. With no knowledge of how to frame any deviation from the sexual norm other than to label it as a sin, I assumed this discovery meant I was evil and that l should probably kill myself. Fortunately for me, the Jehovah's Witnesses also had a lot to say about the sin of suicide, so l remained alive, guilt-wracked, attempting denial of who and what I was, and thoroughly unhappy. I still didn't consider the possibility that there might be people in the real world who liked this kind of thing, and that they might not have anything wrong with them at all. Until the following year, when I stumbled into an art gallery and found myself confronted by wall upon wall covered in BDSM artwork. It was electrifying. I saw sculptures depicting submissive women, with no suggestion that they might be mentally unwell. I saw photographs of dominant men and women, with no implication that they might be murderers or rapists. For the first time in my life, I saw my sexuality represented without being pathologized. The relief of it still resounds in my mind, 21 years later. I realized that by producing this work, I could let people like the person l'd once been know that their kinks were OK, too. They could see my photographs, and they'd know they weren't alone. I wished I could send some of them back in time to my 18-year-old self, to show her that there was nothing wrong with her after all.

In the last two weeks, we have seen a wave of censorship sweep across online retailers, particularly Steam and Itch.io. This is because of demands from payment processors as well as sex-negative activist groups like Collective Shout (originally reported by journalist Ana Valens, and then censored by VICE’s parent company). UVW affirms that sex and sexuality belong in games. Games are works of art, created by workers who should be free to express themselves. It's important to encourage a healthy and critical discourse about the media we consume. One vocal minority cannot have the power to categorically silence creative expression, just because some sexual themes make some people uncomfortable. Sexual art is art, sex work is work. Any attempt to suppress sexual art is an attempt to suppress all art. Any attempt to deny sex workers their dignity is an attempt to deny all workers their dignity. Workers rely on platforms like Steam and itch.io to distribute their games, and it is workers who are suffering at the behest of this vocal minority. We call on the payment processors Mastercard, Visa, Stripe, and any other companies demanding compliance with this unjust action to reverse their policies and stand with the workers who have lined their pockets for years with their labor. We call on Valve and the Itch.io leadership to reverse their policies and stand with game developers. We encourage our members and the general games community to use the resources in the quoted post to contact these payment processors directly and express how strongly we object to their actions.

Give it another year or so and they'll probably be using AI monitors to make sure you're not drawing the "wrong" kind of lines in PS.
