Just a reminder that if you bought the first release of Magic: The Gathering, you probably only got one MMR shot. Two doses was not the norm until 1989. Call your mom to check. Reduced price or even free boosters might be had at your local health department.

Michaelangelo spent his high school years at the Platonic Academy receiving pretty much the best formal education available in Italy, living in the Medici Palace and studying sculpture under Bertoldo di Giovanni.

He graduated with no student debt.

"American Idiot" was a great album, and they put on a great live show for far cheaper than many other bands.

Which leads me to believe Ghislaine convinced Todd Blanche that she has a dead man's switch with *all* the real evidence, and that's why she's being treated like royalty.

As far as performance, remember that it's running SteamOS and not Windows, so its performance will be significantly better (~30%) than a similar PC.

That controller ain't cheap. It's probably about $40-45 to manufacture right now, but that will come down in time. That's gonna add at least $50 to the price instead of $5 for e-waste mouse and keyboard.

And then for US customers there are tariffs.

While I agree there is a substantial amount of tomfoolery involving several tech companies including Nvidia announcing investments in one another to artificially boost stock prices, I'm simply referring to actual production capacity.

Right, so add it up with retailer markup.
November 14, 2025 at 1:05 PM
Try pricing a Ryzen 5 7640U and a Radeon 7600 with 8 Gb GDDR6 and 16 Gb DDR5 for system RAM with retailer markup. It's not that much. And why wouldn't Gabe keep it close to cost? He doesn't need to make a huge profit on it, since he gets 30% of every purchase made on it.

Okay, Gamer's Nexus has the full specs. It looks like this is going to be the equivalent of a Ryzen 5 7640U and a Radeon 7600 with 8 Gb GDDR6 and 16 Gb DDR5 for system RAM. It's a generation old, but it's still better than half the PCs from Steam Hardware Survey. I'm guessing $750 with a controller

And almost definitely a SoC similar to what's in the Steam Deck, just more powerful since you don't have to worry about battery life or as much heat buildup.
November 14, 2025 at 3:19 AM
I just can't see those specs even approaching a $1K. Probably $800 if it's a 9070, $650-700 if it's a SoC. I don't think Gabe is willing to take a loss on the system, but he doesn't need to make a lot of profit when he gets 30% of every game sale on it.
November 14, 2025 at 3:14 AM
Where are they going to source the chips? Nvidia doesn't have any to spare, so it's going to be either AMD 9070s or a new but weaker SoC. Maybe they'll do AM5 for an upgrade path and DDR5, since DDR4 is skyrocketing. But there simply aren't chips available for that kind of performance.

Yes you did. You just voted for it to happen to someone else so you could watch the highlights of their suffering on Fox News.

I think their console is going to be cheaper than many people think. Look at the performance they get from the Steam Deck, and imagine that without paying for the screen and battery and with better cooling to allow for higher CPU/GPU speeds.
