Hoo hoo! New tv show of the upcoming week pick every Saturday.
Pinned
The TV Owl new show of the week for Dec. 21-27 is The Copenhagen Test on Peacock

Stars: Simu Liu, Melissa Barrera

Plot: An agent's brain is hacked and after becoming aware pretends to still be under their control to find who did it

Airs: Dec 27th

#TheCopenhagenTest #Peacock
Carol buying into the Zosia romance makes sense... she looks great, agrees with everything she says, helps her write. The aliens may have also deliberately chosen Zosia for this to happen. After months of working hard it was just easier for Carol to just go with it #Pluribus

I remember liking Fallout's first season well enough, but it's one of those where the previous season recap had to remind me of half the things that happened #Fallout

Carol asking the hivemind back is similar to Manousos in that she had a near brush with the edge and felt she had to do it. Defeating the hivemind requires working the system from the inside #Pluribus

The extended Manousos sequence was superb and that you weren't sure if he was going to live made the ending more tense #Pluribus

It originally looked like there would be literally 0 new scripted shows for my pick this week, but I found Mo' Waffles on TUBI

I see Landman as a high end version of a Showtime show where the wife, son and daughter subplots are at the heart of it #Landman

Diabete seems to have accepted the fate of the world either way... if things went back to normal he'd probably be ok with that too. It's not really in his control #Pluribus

Having a hedonist character is a nice touch... it makes sense why he'd be into this #Pluribus

There is Man vs Baby with Rowan Atkinson which should've been a physical comedy concept that worked, but since it's on Netflix, it probably won't #ManvsBaby

The BBC has a Doctor Who spinoff called the The War Between the Land and Sea that looks like it has some impressive visual sequences

Little Disasters is looking to be the next All Her Fault type hit. The cast is not as strong but it's once again a thin week for new shows.

Some weeks I loved the Chair Company some weeks I wasn't sure, the finale wasn't my favorite... Interesting show with some fantastic moments none the less #TheChairCompany

I was looking for a comedy to watch and tried 2 Broke Girls... more fun than I expected! Also I'm love with both actresses #2BrokeGirls

While I'm normally a dirty pirate, I will be making a double dip on Amazon free trial to see Surely Tomorrow and my Nov 16-22 new show of the week Vanguard, which I was worried I would never be able to see but was picked up by them and Apple

Two other shows next week are Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson's western The Abandons and Spartacus: House of Ashur but I don't have high hopes for Netflix or Starz shows and the trailers seem full of caricatures

I was all set to pick The Hunt on Apple as my new show of the week but it was pulled due to plagiarism leaving me scrambling for a pick

I usually check out one episode of Stranger Things per season to see what people are hyping about, the last one I saw (first episode of season 4) was one of the most confusingly edited and structured episodes I've seen in a while
November 28, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Sarah Paulson was at her best on this week's #AllsFair which is becoming more emotionally layered show than given credit for
November 26, 2025 at 9:32 PM
The dog biting the rat poison and then biting Ron and the long sleeved shirt scene guy were great bits #TheChairCompany

Pluribus is off to a solid start but I'm left wanting a little more from these plots. Perhaps if the humans inside the hiveminds put up a fight it would give them more characters to work with. #Pluribus
