Which is why, when Anna Kinberg Batra didn't follow the law when recruiting friends to the county administration board, it took over a year before she got officially criticised for it and all that happened was that she got moved to a position without any responsibilities but with the same pay.

That is, it is completely legal for the ruling class of politicians, billionaires and friends to do as they please. They give each other jobs, law changes and exceptions by the dozen and they get absolutely furious the few times they manage to stumble upon a part of the law they can't circumvent.

The current Swedish government is so inept and corrupt that it is mind-boggling, and thanks to the Swedish image of being a paragon of incorruptibility almost everything less obvious than being filmed accepting a bag of money from a crook while saying "I am now taking a bribe" is completely legal.
