Catchy - Gator Days Characters August - Alligator - A soft spoken single father who works in IT. Gustopher's dad. Gustopher - Alligator - An easily excitable child who loves making friends. August's son. Panel 1 August has come to ask Gustopher something but is momentarily distracted by his son's music. Unrelated, but August is wearing a pink shirt that says "Man Shirt" in swirly pretty font. It's a pretty manly shirt. August: Gustopher, could you- Is that a new song? Gustopher: YEAH! It's catchy. Panel 2 August takes a moment to remember what he came in the room for and continues. August: Oh. Could you please keep the noise down. I need to focus on something. Gustopher: Okay. Panel 3 August is back at his computer and dealing with Tax stuff. His screen says "TAX BUDDY", "$-999", "Money money money", "TAX NOW", and "Tip us?". Nougat is there for emotional support and is sleeping peacefully on the desk with dreams of stepping all over the keyboard. August is having trouble concentrating on what he's doing. His mind is somewhere else right now. Panel 4 August has returned to Gustopher. He won't be able to get back to work until everything is made right. August: I need to hear that song. I won't be able to concentrate until I do.

Forest Relic 2: Crafting Update - Gator Days Panel 1 Gustopher has found something amazing in the woods. It's a stick! Sticks are cool. He runs to show it to Hannah. Gustopher: HANNAH! Check of this stick! Panel 2 Hannah does agree that the stick is admirable but she is not one to be outdone. She has also found something interesting in the woods. Hannah: Yeah, that's cool. But is it cooler than this rock? She holds up a smooth oval shaped rock. It's one of those ones that would be amazing for skipping but you won't want to do it because it's so good. There's parts that sparkle in the sunlight. Rocks are cool. Gustopher: Let Liam decide! Panel 3 Liam is sitting on a stump and checking out the neat stick and rock that he has been asked to judge. next to him is a little bit of string. Foreshadowing is a literary device. This stick and rock are pretty sweet. Liam: They're both cool. But what if... Panel 4 Liam has read the wiki and knows the ancient art of crafting. He has tied the rock to the top of the stick which has increased the coolness factor and improves the stick's bludgeoning stats while providing +3 INT. Everyone is impressed. Hannah: Whoa! Liam: Magic staff. Gustopher: THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!

It Stays With You - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 Liam is reading a fantasy novel he found called Dragon Days. As he reads, he can vividly imagine the events of the book playing out. There is an elder wizard with a mustache that appears to be fighting a fearsome dragon. In the distance, the wizard's apprentice who looks a little like Liam watches. The book does not have favorable reviews but Liam has found a lot to enjoy about it. He feels a deep connection with the wizard's apprentice. He's also interested in this dragon. Panel 2 Liam's mother tells him that the time for reading has ended. Fern: Liam, it's time for sleep. Liam: Okay. Panel 3 Liam has put away Dragon Days. He is in bed and wondering what will happen next in the story. He begins to consider the different possibilities and where they might lead. Panel 4 Liam closes his eyes. His mind drifts back the book. As he falls asleep watches the events play out in his head. He sees the wizard's apprentice wield a magical staff and stare down the dragon. He might not be reading the book but he is still in its world. This is one of the many things that Liam loves about books.

Self-Reliance - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 Hannah has a jar of something pickled that she can't get open. She comes to her dad to see if he can get it open for her. Sadly, he sees this as a good learning opportunity. Hannah: DAD! Can you open this jar? Seth: I can, but I don't think I should. Panel 2 Seth: Instead, I should help you learn how to do it yourself. Seth is prepared for this moment. Having struggled with many a jar, he knows a vast variety of tips to help his daughter learn how to open these jars if she runs into this problem again. Panel 3 Seth is ready to tackle this problem! He is ready to impart wisdom! He's ready to be a good father! Seth: This is your chance to gain self-reliance and- Hannah: Papa, can you open this? Panel 4 Daryl has arrived home and immediately opens the jar. Daryl: No problem. Hannah: Thanks, Papa. Seth gasps. He's shocked at this turn of events! It's okay, he will soon forget all his worries when he gets some of the special treat in that jar. It seems to be pickled chocolate. Who can be upset about open jars when they have pickled chocolate?

No Children (Part 4) - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 August is at the office on an off day for a work emergency. He's had to leave his son with a co-worker, Iris, while he takes care of things and has just wrapped it up. He's picking up Gustopher now. August: I'm done. Thanks for watching- Gustopher: DAD! Panel 2 Gustopher is filled with an unreasonable amount of energy. In his hand is an energy drink that says "INFINITE ENERGY - Insomnia Flavored". Mistakes were made. He speaks rapidly, loudly, and with no respect from proper sentence structure. Gustopher: IRIS LET ME HAVE ANYTHING I WANTED FROM THE VENDING MACHINE AND I GOT AN ENERGY DRINK AND IT'S SO GOOD CAN WE GET SOME FOR HOME AND WE WATCHED CAT VIDEOS AND IRIS YELLED AT SOMEONE. Panel 3 August stares at his son with a mixture of exhaustion, surprise, and just the slightest amount of amusement that he knows will not last. Iris hopes this will dissuade August from putting her in this situation again unless it is absolutely necessary. Gustopher: I DIDN'T KNOW I COULD YELL THIS LOUD! Panel 4 Iris: He's a good kid. Good luck. Gustopher: I'M SHAKING! Gustopher is vibrating. His face is not exploding. All things considered, August thinks that this day could have had far worse outcomes.
