if trump’s “big, beautiful bill”(BBB) is now a “big, beautiful law” does that mean it’s trump’s BBL?

we should be shaming ICE agents. like shunning them if you know some. they should be resigning en masse. and if we need to crowd fund unemployment money for those who resign until they find work. let’s do it. ICE is the govt department that should have staffing issues.

Hearing from Community Partners International, which works from Myanmar to Bangladesh, that USAID cuts mean 14,000 people with HIV losing access to lifesaving meds and a total stop in all HIV and TB screening. So many people will die due to these chaotic, sudden, horrifically implemented cuts.

joe rogan defends elon in a way that feels like how people who have been physically and mentally abused by someone and have tried to rationalize it in their minds to cope defend their abusers. something happened between them.

why do republicans hate poor people so much? they talk about people leeching off government programs like those programs aren’t designed for people to utilize them?? like ya i wanna pay taxes so that my fellow americans have access to basic needs? is that not a huge part of why we have a govt?

Just a reminder that in 2020, Dr. Oz suggested that opening schools during COVID would "only cost us 2-3% in terms of total mortality," and that "any life is a life lost but... that might be a tradeoff some folks would consider."

i don’t understand why people can’t accept this and move on. if you wanna figure out what is causing autism, great. it’s not vaccines. we’ve already checked.
Vaccines do not cause autism.

76 million people validated the hatred of white christian nationalists and extremists. no, 76 million people aren’t racist. but the racist pieces of shit see the election results as 76 million people who either don’t mind, don’t care, or think their hate is ok if eggs are cheaper.
A wave of offensive text messages and emails has gone out to Hispanic and LGBTQ people in recent days, according to the FBI, coming on the heels of a barrage of racist texts that were sent to Black people in the wake of the election.
New Wave of Offensive Texts Targets Hispanic and L.G.B.T.Q. People
The F.B.I. is investigating messages that told people they would be deported or transported to a “re-education camp.” They came after racist texts were sent to Black people.

i’ve seen a lot of takes on who to blame for the election results. but not enough blaming the senate republicans who knew trump was guilty, said so, then voted not to convict trump after his second impeachment. this is kinda on them.

i highly recommend listening to Behind the Bastards podcast’s four part episode on RFK Jr. super fascinating, pretty fun listen, and shows how insane he is and some of why.
The New York Post editorial board on their meeting with RFK Jr:

“When it came to that topic his views were a head-scratching spaghetti of what we can only call warped conspiracy theories, and not just on vaccines…In fact, we came out thinking he’s nuts on a lot of fronts.”

“processed foods are causing chronic illnesses in children” okay, and so is climate change. but those oil lobbyists pay real well, don’t they.

MAGA’s embrace of RFK Jr’s “Make America Healthy Again” is so funny because these same people CRUCIFIED Michelle Obama for daring to suggest that American kids should have access to healthy lunches in school.

maybe if we make climate change a conspiracy theory, the right will believe it and do something to actually help minimize damage
