I'm so surprised that the starter whose velocity was inexplicably down 4 mph over his last 3 starts has a shoulder injury! Craziness!

Brutal night for Boyd to totally lose the strike zone

I'm definitely curious about the cost to acquire Castro vs Suarez. Love the idea of getting Castro to basically protect every position against injury.

I'd add a Gallen or Alcantara or Bieber to this list as the 2nd starter we add, but I'm with you on Cabrera/Iglesias.

The Athletic had an article the other day where they surveyed front offices to see which prospects are most likely to be traded and according to Jim Bowden: "Caissie was the prospect mentioned the most by execs — and it wasn’t even close."

Feels good seeing him drive and elevate the other way and up the middle, definitely going to all fields with power when he's at his best

It was incredible watching a Marquee headline scroll across the ticker on the bottom that said "Why Pressly still has the Cubs' trust" while he was pitching in the 6th in a blowout

Do you think Pressly's success is sustainable? The curve looks really good, but I feel like we've gotten lucky that he hasn't broken yet

I love how simple the swing is. Doesn't feel like there's any wasted movement in there.

Especially since ABS challenging worked so well during Spring Training, it's crazy to not have that this season. This game has been shockingly horrible

Okay my feelings exaggerated it a bit but #Cubs K% before the game today with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs is 31%. Oof.

This is almost certainly just an emotional fact, but despite how elite our offense has been, it feels like we have a 50% K rate with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs.

Oh my gosh it got meaningfully worse
