But those more radical responses are not motivated by the use of the machine intrinsically, but by its training. In general, I think AI is perceived to be more likely to be implemented to replace artists rather than to provide guidance. Wouldn't you have stronger feelings if that were the case?

The first paragraph belongs in a noir detective story.

His videos are great. I loved the recent one about The Witcher 3's river systems, where you learn it may be the best researched game ever or, you know, just total luck.

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't know any of them.

I have the chance to get one or two books from Spain over to Istanbul, and I was wondering what you thought a couple of must-reads from contemporary Latinamerican authors, be it fiction, non-fiction, or poetry. En español, claro. Thank you so much!

Tristram Shandy was the peak of experimentalism in the novel genre, making a lot the strategies used in postmodern novels seem unoriginal, not even derivative. It is a wild ride, though, I hope you enjoy it.

I don't remember a lot of these. But if we consider seemingly-bad-boy extinguisher is, in fact, a life saving tool, while nice-guy matchbox has the very real potential of starting a fire, maybe there is, in fact, some depth there.

Yeah, that's true, and probably a strong consideration in the praise and accolades the film has received. There have been several recent movies made in Iran that don't stick to the government's censorhip standards, which seem to be becoming somewhat less strict.

I think the main concept of this movie, as you put it, is brilliant, but I can't say I liked the execution too much.
November 23, 2025 at 7:18 AM
Well, that happens, but I hope it's sth you love. Will keep an eye out for your art streams.
November 15, 2025 at 8:45 AM
Are you streaming much these days? I haven't seen anything on Youtube. Art streams sound great, though!

I really like your music posts (and movies and books but I can't keep up). I haven't listened to all of these yet, but I'll say there are two albums in English that came out within a week of each other (by Lola Young and Sprints) and they are both 10/10 to me.

Oh, they are gonna come up with a Bond multiverse, aren't they? Connect all Bonds three movies later?

"Richard Nixon Architect of Peace" has to be sarcasm going over everyone's head at the WH.

It's a nice essay. Extra points for the inclusion of archive links. And it also shows how much the perception of NYT has changed over time.

Don't know about this one. The title alone makes me wanna cry, and I am too attached to my cat.

Borges's AI would arrive to a word that does contain all to ever be, leading those who read it do nothing but wait for the death they already know all about.

Yes! I was looking for this!! The comic was mid, but with this mistake, it's just lame.

Yeah I saw it in your replies, but nah, I don't need an app with pdf and epub support, or boosting my retention, or gpt3 summaries. Need an app to just remember this link, and let me open it later on the other thing if I need to.

Couldn't believe my eyes when I got the email! I started using it in 2015 and loved it because it does the one thing it needs to do perfectly. What to do now? Bookmark articles? Ugh.

Do you think a key is necessary? I read NotR as a teen, but I don't remember untranslated bits. I think most erudite references were explained thanks to Adso not knowing them? It is mostly a damn good detective novel. Please share as you go, hope you enjoy it!

There are details in that piece (and generally in @ianmcque.bsky.social's work) that an AI could not get right, like the chair by the open window, or the ladder for when the tide is low.

The frustration is understandable.

Still going through the story, but I am watching this as soon as soon as I finish.
