If this is as similar to the 1838 Munich agreement as I think & Trump does force it through then we can expect WWIII in a couple of years. This will be Trump's true legacy!

I don't see how anyone, apart from Trump & Putin, could be any but sceptical about this so-called "peace plan". Unless of course they are seriously opposed to it, as any thinking person would be.
November 24, 2025 at 7:25 AM
This is true but parts of Europe are still buying Russian oil & gas, also, according to the Torygraph, Europe is willing to invite Russia back into the G8. All totally doolaly!!!!
November 24, 2025 at 7:20 AM
You're right, only one man has the power to end this war, Putin, he can simply order his troops to return behind Russia's internationally agreed borders & stay there. Then when they're all back home a peace might possibly be negotiated but only without Trump on Putin's side!!
November 23, 2025 at 8:46 AM
To achieve a sustainable peace in Ukraine the whole of Europe, including the non-EU countries, must break free of the yoke of the USA. Since the end of WWII the US has controlled Europe! This must end NOW if we're ever to control our own destiny! This war can only end fairly without Trump's "help".
November 23, 2025 at 8:37 AM
The adoption of this plan will lead to the end of Europe as we know it. When Ukraine disappears, Putin will go for the Baltics & the client states of the Soviet Union! Putin, like Hitler has never made a secret of his plan for Russia to include all the former Soviet states with buffer client states.
November 23, 2025 at 8:22 AM
You're right Trump's plan is no more than appeasement & this has never ever worked. The Saxons learnt this when Danegeld only caused the Danes to comeback for more, Hitler was given the Sudetenland but took the rest of the country & more. Putin will do the same in Ukraine, then go for the Baltics!
November 23, 2025 at 8:11 AM
That's a novel way of putting it but just about right.
November 22, 2025 at 7:03 AM
A pan-European war started the day Putin invaded Georgia. But most politicians were & many still are too shortsighted to see this. Putin only responds to force, his drones must be eliminated, as must his spy ships & shadow fleet. We can't afford to let him win this undeclared war.
November 22, 2025 at 7:02 AM
If nothing else this war has proved that security guarantees don't work when the guarantors refuse to act. The only guarantee a country has is in its own armed forces, which is why Ukraine must not disarm no matter what is offered!
November 22, 2025 at 6:55 AM
You're right Ukraine & Europe MUST stand up to Trump & Putin. Since WWII the bulk of Europe has been dominated by one or other of these two countries. Now is the time for it to break free & control its own destiny!
November 22, 2025 at 6:48 AM
Giving any government a week to come to a decision is unrealistic, even Trump usually says that he'll decide in two weeks & never does. But to give a country at war a week to decide on something like this is just an ultimatum! Trump's a worse appeaser than Chamberlain ever was.
November 22, 2025 at 6:41 AM
This hands Ukraine over to Putin & if adopted would lead to a European war with Putin's Russia!
November 22, 2025 at 6:34 AM
This just proves that it's a stitch up! Trump hates Zelensky & Ukraine but loves Putin.
November 22, 2025 at 6:31 AM
Whatever influence the UK has with Europe as a whole must be used to push it to oppose this ill conceived "plan" of Trump's. If this was adopted we would either have a Europe dominated by Russia or more likely a major pan-european war when Putin tries to annex the Baltic States!
November 22, 2025 at 6:26 AM
Yes but will the EU refuse Trump's appeasement of Putin, because that's what this "plan" is? Will it continue its support of Ukraine if Trump walks away if there's no agreement? These are important questions!
November 22, 2025 at 6:13 AM
It will be difficult & expensive but Europe as a whole can replace the USA in supporting Ukraine. It will have to if it doesn't want a Europe that's dominated/occupied by Russia, because that is what the adoption of Trump's "peace plan" would mean.
November 22, 2025 at 6:08 AM
The most annoying thing is Trump's constant giving in to Putin, who may not be losing the war but is definitely not winning it. Trump really is mad & probably greedy seeing more money to be made from Russia than Ukraine. This will mean a Russian attack on the Baltics next & thus war with NATO. 2/2
November 22, 2025 at 6:01 AM
It's quite right that Ukraine & the rest of Europe should reject Trump's "peace"! This gives Putin pretty well all he says he wants & Ukraine will get nothing except Russian domination, with large parts of the country occupied. All Europe would get is a major war with Russia in a few years. 1/2
November 22, 2025 at 5:52 AM
It's about time this happened! Many have queried the legality of such a move but how legal is Putin's war on Ukraine? Two wrongs don't make a right but in the end "all's fair in love & war" especially when fighting against a war of aggression & genocide such as this one!!
November 13, 2025 at 7:42 AM
Russian casualties are still on target to reach & even exceed, 1.2 million by 01/01/2026. If the attrition rate continues at this rate over 1% of Russians will be casualties of this war by 01/01/2027. A very sad reflection on Putin's years of misruling Russia & perhaps the state of the world!
November 13, 2025 at 7:36 AM
Siberia is a long way from Moscow, so I can't see Putin doing anything significant to help there.
November 9, 2025 at 7:06 AM
Somehow I can't see Russia trying something like this, their death v survival rate indicates that they care little for their wounded.
November 9, 2025 at 7:04 AM
Someone should tell Orban that Trump's word is about as reliable as Putin's! I 🙏 that the next time Zelensky or a European leader phones Trump he persuades him to sanction Hungary. It should be easy to do this with TACO man.
November 8, 2025 at 7:35 AM
You're quite right, Putin will only end this when he has conquered the whole of Ukraine or when Ukraine, with European support, has ejected the last orc from Ukrainian soil.
