This does not reflect polling data. Democrats want ICE to be abolished, the perpetrators of ICE's crimes to be prosecuted, and Democratic leadership that doesn't constantly insult our intelligence by telling us it's smart to accept compromises with people who want to murder us in the streets.

Given how brazenly trump's goons were to falsely cite theoretical executive privilege to avoid testifying to Congress, is there independent reason to believe trump is implicated in this specific complaint (aside from the extensive history of corruption)?

The fact that a whistleblower has raised a concern is not, in itself classified, and should not be kept secret, even if there were somehow legitimate reasons to review how best to present that complaint's content to Congress.

I don't know how to talk about what AI does without implying awareness and intentionality. I assume that some threshold exists where facial features are "understood" to be unnecessary based on feedback from users. Also tech quirks (e.g. focus, screen size) teaching what art "should" look like?

Was it just confidence that trump wouldn't release them? Certainty that nothing will be done to hold any of them accountable? Maybe he wanted to force trump to handle the PR fallout by proxy?

I'd defer to assessment. I haven't thought about him for years. I have a vague recollection that his pushback against calling trump a fascist felt entirely based in aesthetics, and I remember deciding not to have time for that bullshit.

It'd be one thing if it felt like they were trying to move the ball down the field, but it somehow always feels like they're trying to claw back the progress we've already made. Like they'd rather meet lowered expectations instead of pushing as far forward as possible.

I remember the disappointing realization that certain academics seem primarily invested in emphatically conveying how irrelevant they want the wider world to consider their knowledge. As if practical implications are somehow beneath them.
