For #showmeyourknits I’ve finally picked up the stitches for the sleeves on this after a month and a half of procrastinating. Zipping right along and should be wearing it just in time for fall!

I want to do something interesting with the pocket but am undecided. I could do the pocket in purple, or i could knit an intarsia square of purple onto the front of the sweater to put a black pocket over. Leaning toward option 2 but is the extra effort worth it?

Nearly back up to where I was. Luckily this yarn is lovely to work with and the pattern is blissfully mindless with miles of plain stockinette so I don’t actually mind reknitting it at all

Unearthed this cardigan from the depths of the stash for #showmeyourknits this week. I started it sometime around 2012ish?? No idea what pattern it is, but it’s only missing half a sleeve and I can just copy the finished one. I’m like 90% sure the yarn is Lion Brand Wool-Ease

Disaster. The two skeins of yarn are noticeably different, so to the frog pond it goes. Was I aware that this is a danger of hand dyed yarn? Yes. Does the dyer include a warning to alternate skeins right on the label? Also yes. Did I listen? Clearly not. Should i have known better? ABSOLUTELY.

Marvel at my (totally deliberate!!) forethought! This hat is in the same yarn at the exact gauge of the sweater I’m planning, has been washed and worn regularly for several weeks now. How’s that for swatching!?

Originally got this mohair last year to use with a worsted yarn, then switched to sport weight and needed a second. Looks like I’ll be alternating skeins because this is not even close. Such is the beauty and the curse of hand dyed yarn 😂🤦🏻♀️

Gave up trying to keep it out of tiny hands and now just knitting from the tangle. Yarn is bulky @thelemonadeshop.bsky.social in WTFC (Who the F Cares?) and as the name implies I am embracing the chaos this morning. Whatever, it’s keeping both of us entertained 🧶
