Who would've ever thought teachers and millionaire CEOs would have anything in common. But here we are - both groups concerned going to work will end with them being shot to death. The difference? CEOs get immediate policy changes and security. Teachers get thoughts and prayers.

We have 1 week of class left before exams start, and I have 15 seniors who are either failing or at risk. I've never had numbers like this. Never. My brain knows it's not my fault. My heart can't be convinced otherwise. I feel like I have failed them.

Maintenance is *actually* here to fix the heat in my room. They need to access the ceiling of my teacher neighbor's room. That heaux told him to come back at the end of class - 75 min later. I. Just. Can't.

When you don't have enough teachers, you have overloaded classes and end up with the catastrophe that has been my 1st semester. I am feeling end of year, next to the last day of school, tired. We still have a week until final exams.

Several teachers and their students have been in the hall most of the day, decorating it for the holidays. It's gonna look amazing & I'm so grateful for their work. However, I'm at the point of being overstimulated by the constant chatter, paper rattle, and movement - I just need to go home.
