Donald is just going full king mode. We've lost so much in terms of the values of the founders. Not that I'm all into the founders and stuff, but Scalia hasn't even been dead a decade.

I guess they've tuned into the fact that their party has completely abandoned the whole constitution thing that they had harped on about with less and less coherence for so long and that their followers value them exercising power to hurt undesirables more. Libs are owned.

I mean, sexism and racism. It's sad to write off so many fellow Americans as hopelessly stuck in these ways, but also, how could we bear to try to connect with an everyday voter hopped up on the anti-DEI crusade without getting at least a little bit of consistency-seeking on their part?

What I'm seeing is people helping each other, eager to share some knowledge and build out little pockets of community. This isn't everything we need in connecting, but a expertise-friendly, public, open experience of being in community is really nice after a lot of bitterness.
