I haven't followed NBA for a long time, but it seems wild that the DEN-OKC game is 106-72 and it's only the third quarter. So many points these days. For the Nuggets fans out there, I hope it gets closer before the end.

The Justice Department spent the weekend defying a federal court, and this morning Trump and his top officials revealed that they will defy the Supreme Court, refusing to take ANY steps to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia back from El Salvador. Now they have an automated voice read the announcement that not everybody's carry-on will fit in the overhead bins. I wonder (from my vantage point in carry-on-free basic economy) if it makes people less likely to direct their anger at the actual humans at the desk.

It’s nice how they’ve replicated the middle school dynamic of the insecure bully and his sniveling sidekick picking on someone surrounded by a circle of scared little boys who also try to talk shit so the bully doesn’t come after them.

Or as the right calls it, “masculinity.”
GLENN: Why don't you wear a suit? You're at the highest level in this country's office & you refuse to wear a suit. A lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the office.

ZELENSKYY: I will wear a costume after this war will finish. Maybe something like yours. Maybe something better.

Trump has always been unfit to step into the Oval Office. Have you ever seen a worse art of the deal go down than this?

The tech industry has been really painful since 2020, with round after round of layoffs affecting people's teams and friends. It sucks, but it's not surprising that the callous layoff is the element of the tech industry that Musk is bringing to the rest of America's vital services.

As Facebook lays off it's "low performers", does anybody know if the guy who spent a billion dollars on VR meetings with no legs made it through?

Meta’s laid-off 'low performers' defend themselves on LinkedIn and Reddit
Meta laid off 5% of its workforce, calling them “low performers.” Those who were laid off see things differently—and they’re speaking out.

Eugene-Springfield and Spokane are the only housing markets in the Pacific Coast states that are at or above pre-pandemic inventory. Eugene's a nice place to live. www.fastcompany.com/91276002/hou...

Donald Trump blaming this horrific plane crash on "DEI" before any investigation and then handing off to two former reality TV stars and a former Fox weekend host he nominated for high positions is the vibe of this era. Is anyone on the right capable of seeing this incongruity? What stops them?

The time to switch to a four day work week is now, as the efficiency gains from AI tech is starting to be realized. If it all doesn't make workers' lives easier, it's not worth all that much. My small company is in. www.theguardian.com/money/2025/j... #4DayWorkWeek

TikTok’s cultural footprint in America is huge. Why is its potential disappearance being met with a shrug?

It feels like we might be able to rebuild a lot of the social media community we had ten or fifteen years ago here. That's nice. People have really missed it.

So much of culture has been negative and conflicted the last decade. If we can break from that, I think it's by making spaces that are fun.

United Airlines' digital product teams are doing great the last few years. The timely useful notifications, like your connecting gate and time estimate for how long it takes to get there, no notes. Across app, notifications, and in flight entertainment display, it's really well done.
