I signed this statement because I deeply believe that Self Sovereign Identity Principles need to be respected. Your government cannot track you when you use paper credentials in the physical world, the same should apply to your digital credentials.
DIF joined 100 experts including ACLU and Bruce Schneier to raise the alarm: digital identity systems being built today must not contain tracking capabilities that could enable surveillance for generations.
