The U.S. will get what we deserve for the attack on Iran. Unfortunately, it will affect the citizens more than the Trump Administration, as such things always do.

I've attended powwows in Marquette, Michigan annually for the past fifteen, eighteen years. But it's only been in the past three or four years that I finally get it, that the music does not all sound the same, that the circle is truly sacred ground. I guess I'm a slow learner and poor observer.

Cognitive dissonance: all those MAGA supporters who thought electric vehicles were the stupidest thing on earth, now having to applaud Musk and defend Tesla.

Looks like even they don’t want to hold Tesla stock. #BoycottTesla

Tesla insiders are cashing out.
- Kimbal Musk (Elon’s brother) – sold $27 million
- James Murdoch (Rupert Murdoch’s son) – sold $13 million
- Robyn Denholm (Board Chair) – sold $75 million
- Vaibhav Taneja (CFO) – sold $5 million

I'm really enjoying the celebration of the Grand Old Opry's 100th anniversary live on TV right now. I love classic country.

I haven't had a beer since December 1st. Let me put it this way: I picked the wrong administration to stop drinking beer.

I guess it's ok to feel overwhelmed with all that's going down. At least I hope it's ok. Screw that. I feel overwhelmed. Period.

So long Voice of America. I took a course in Serbo-Croatian at George Washington University from one of your broadcasters, and I depended upon your English service when I lived in the former Yugoslavia.

Nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) is down about 70% since 1980, but Nitrous oxide (N₂O) is up about 40%. The former creates smog and acid rain. The later is a very strong greenhouse gas.
When addressing the climate crisis, the focus often centers only on carbon dioxide emissions and methane.

Yet, nitrous oxide is 300 times more potent and remains active in the atmosphere for more than 100 years.

Trump signed an executive order yesterday to dismantle the prestigious Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Of course, it has nothing to do with the fact that in November 2022, the Wilson Center was designated as an "undesirable organization" in Russia, I'm sure.

My department colleagues and I haven't talked about the administration and its "policies" since it came to power on Jan 20th. I'm afraid to find out just what my colleagues believe. I'm looking more and more to retirement in June, and in that way I won't care what any of them believe anymore.

In Trump's eyes, there are good Jews and bad Jews. For Trump, the bad Jews like Schumer are so bad, they are really Palestinian Muslims more than anything else.
Trump: "Schumer is a Palestinian as far as I'm concerned. He's become a Palestinian. He used to be Jewish. He's not Jewish anymore. He's a Palestinian."

I was a bit hypomanic while lecturing in my intermediate macroeconomics class this morning, frustrated by what's going down in the economy and in the country overall. Most of the students got a kick out of it (and I was trying to be funny), but maybe I lost others, and my mind a little, too.

It's not only the rich who are invested in the stock market. Anyone with a retirement plan, a 401k, etc., regular, hard-working people, are affected by the pounding the stock market has taken since this guy became president. Trump is a disaster.
