It's great to see a university holding a student association to account. My experience with them is they are corrupt little mafias who actively work against students' interests in order to funnel money to themselves and their friends.
University of Regina terminates fee agreement with students' union due to 'lost confidence'
The U of R says its decision to terminate a fee collection agreement with the students' union stems from concerns over its finances.

Why this obsession with French immersion in the not-French school board? It seems to be causing insane problems. One hour of French per day should be more than adequate to function in Canada. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
ANALYSIS | Why Ottawa's biggest school board is blowing up boundaries | CBC News
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is in the midst of its biggest overhaul since two boards amalgamated back in 1998.

Politics quiz: Were Republicans outraged about USAID sending condoms to Hamas because: A) They think the Middle East will be safer if Hamas has more offspring? or B) They think limiting birth control is a great way to bring down abortion rates? Hamas Condoms put the "fun" back in "fundamentalism"!

Plastic straws, paper straws, metal straws, who needs straws? I haven't used a straw in over ten years, and I haven't died of dehydration. I owned the top-rated restaurant in the city where I lived for three years, and we didn't offer straws. Not one single customer complained. Stop sucking!

Mexico got tariffs postponed by sending 10,000 troops to the border. Canada's response should be proportional. Since 1% of drugs and aliens cross the Canadian border, Canada should agree to send 100 troops to the border. #cdnpoli

Instead of imposing tariffs on democratic allies, why not work with Canada and Mexico to join you in imposing tariffs on China, meanwhile cooperating to expand the North American manufacturing base?

The Green Party needs some juicy wedge issues for the upcoming election. How about banning social media use and/or smartphone ownership for kids under 16? #GPC

I first saw Poilivre 14 years ago. We were speaking at the same event. He was apoplectic with rage that City Hall had allocated some funds for a pedestrian bridge. As he spit his vitriol, I was sure voters would soon send him back to whatever hole he crawled he crawled out of.
Pierre Poilievre is looking to remake Canada after a decade of Liberal government. And there may be few institutional barriers to stop him.

The Trump-like Conservative leader is riding an anti-establishment wave—and will almost certainly become PM this year.

After the age of about 35, your relationship with your body becomes one of constant trouble-shooting until you die. Whenever you solve one problem, another comes along.

Why is the Green Party not picking up any of the voters leaving Justin Trudeau's Liberals? I have my own thoughts, but I'd like to hear yours first.
The Liberals have officially fallen below 20% on average in the Polling Canada averages

They're currently poling 0.4% higher than where the party finished in 2011, their worst ever electoral result

I can't help but think this problem would be easier to resolve if it were not necessary to balance four parallel public school boards.

I fully understand the motivation behind this law, although of course the impact is not yet fully understood. I would just suggest raising the minimum age to, say, 99. (And yes, I am aware of the irony of posting this on social media.)
