The only way to really deter asylum seekers was to turn America into a worse country that they were fleeing from. I honestly have no idea what it would possibly take for Americans to pay attention to what is happening because this adminstration is not capable of de-escalating.
We have masked secret police running ethnic pogroms across the largest metros to create a funnel of immigrants to fill up wildcat internment camps and justify the national buildup of greater capacity and surveillance of domestic political enemies. We are building a prison state from the camps.

I don't have any data to back it up but it seems more than concidental that crypto has been hemorrhaging the last few months since the crack down on scammers in Asia.

This started as a shit post but the current configuration of Trump + Elon and DOGE is like an inverse Gorbachev. They view the most reactionary and regressive elements of American history as the true orthodoxy and they genuinely want to retvrn. They intend to regress and undemocratize America.

If 60% tarrifs are levied on China, wouldn't there be a real risk of Tesla operations in China be expriopated especially with Elon so publicly aligning himself to the adminstration. No doubt they will find some corrupt way to pay him back but Tesla sales in China will go to zero.

They are absolutely the ones with the cultural power now. Social media, content creators and video games are dominant. They have the money, eyeballs and momentum. Old media is on a secular decline and can't compete with their scale and frictionless supply. They have already won the next generation
