www.nikkei.com/article/DGXZQO...

People spend a lot of time wondering why the left is worse at using independent media to control the national narrative.

A useful exercise is to ask why the left is also worse at selling snake oil and pyramid schemes, because I think the reasons are basically exactly the same.

Alright this life phase is finally taking shape a bit (after well over a year!)

Zen-Stoicism-Hermeticism for thought scape.

Exercise routine, soft as it is, somewhat locked in.

Solitary gourmet, cooking, Dragon Quest V for free time (mountain climbing in season).

Job? Whatever happens, happens.

Guo Gu’s Chan Path to Freedom talk is one of those philosophical documents I come back to and rediscover again and again. Even after everything I’ve learned here with the monks he and his master Sheng Yen really do seem to be the real deal.

Humans are not meant to feel constantly on the high alert and under threat. Unfortunately it’s really a threat but since we cannot do much about it, we must sometimes de stress. This is in part why I post mostly art, science, etc. I don’t want all my joy stolen from me. And I love the responses
