two very different visions of unity. bsky.app/profile/ostr...
Together, these two visions of unity mean a continuous downward spiral, with one party (Democrats) expecting the other to reciprocate its respect for compromise and procedure, and one party (Republicans) expecting the other to compromise or obey as a matter of procedure.

That might explain why some of them are really into a specific version of Thomism. But also, why they despise everything that came after Thomas (bsky.app/profile/ostr...).
There's another interesting aspect to it, which is that many of them absolutely despise anything deviating from their version of Thomism.

I came here to say this as well. It's really well done. Thank you for making this, @doefriends.bsky.social. The entire album is fantastic.

She works with Prager U? I guess she didn't touch on that "debate" because many of her colleagues had already done so, and she didn't want to be stepping on any of their toes. But nice to know that she's expanding her repertoire and grift.

One very common feature is the appeal to biology (bsky.app/profile/ostr...). I suspect that's not going away any time soon. Although barely making any contact with actual biology, it still holds currency, presumably because it conveys pretensions to a solid justification.
A lot of the rhetoric was in the vein of "It's biology, not bigotry" (web.archive.org/web/20170905...).
