Do I really think he's coming to get us all? I think I'll defer on that and let the collage speak for itself. All I know is that we're certainly steamrolling into interesting times ahead, or worse.
This isn't mine, but I like it
and it's funny:

I hate it when people ask what sign I am? I am obviously a sign from G-d.
Stop with the silly stuff already...

Churchill was wrong on so many things, but he was right on this. He was the epitome of a wartime inspirational PM - until the war was over. People wanted more butter and less guns.

It's so f'ing weird sometimes, it's like I'm surrounded by game NPC's (Non-Player Characters) in life. That do the same things, again and again. I can't be the only one? At least I can counter with enough semantic elán? The 1st step towards Reality....is Incredulity. And I continue 2B gobsmacked.

Sarah makes a great point that I'm guilty of.
I never really realized this before losing much of my hearing, nor do psychic wounds show. I'm actually thankful it's hearing and not sight. If we're going to be a Resistance Community, everyone needs to be able to say their Say. And comprehend it all.
Y'all, I am BEGGING YOU to turn on your alt text switch and alt text your images. Take the time, please. Make this place different in the ways that matter. It has gotten much worse, and we need to be moving the other way.

Do u realize if everyone repeatedly flushed their toilet at the same time, it would fuxor things? Never underestimate the power of a unified movement, bowel or otherwise. Get organized. Don't be a bootlicker.

Whoaaaaa."Clean out" is such a dog-whistle for "ethnic cleansing" - like what happened in Rwanda, Bosnia, etc. 1.5 million people? The enshitification of our lexicon continues. If it's OK to say this now, what does our future portend?

Even 80yrs after printing, this works wonderfully to alter things, even more effective than Saul Alinsky's tactics, imho. People have been oppressed for thousands of years - the counter-tactics remain the same.

Fight! Mock them, they hate that.

In an article a long time ago, I was described as being an "Internet Terrorist". It was about hacktivism, going after spammers, bringing light to some of the darkest places on the internet. I find it strange how people only remember the 2 words? Ppl. remember the negative before the positive.

Donald Duck is high AF. Just look at him, If you kept your screen on for 9 days, he'd be doing the same movements. That constant energy doesn't come out of thin air.
To be fair, that duck is high like 98% of the day.

They really need to make car doors with humungous, gargantuan ashtrays again. With a little lighter? Remember, more Doctors smoke Camels than any other cigarette.
This whole door weighs more than you and your car combined today

$270 for a Dr. appointment at my old GP vs. a 7 month wait at my local VA (but free, but is it really free? No). The awful dichotomy is not lost on me. The first step towards Reality is Incredulity - and I'm incredulous, believe you me.

I'm really enjoying BlueSky, I've found my People.

But do 'ya think the initials help? I see "BS" attributed across inet-land when folks mention BlueSky, however mistakingly - but for ppl. new to all this, they might not get the complete inference? Sometimes we have to put things in C r A Y 0 n.

Admittedly, I'm guilty of all of Spinoza's character corrupting axioms. Indeed, after living in Japan for so long, I used to hear my peers tell me, "The tallest tree catches the most wind..." They were spot-on! FF today? The more I have, the less I want.
Spinoza talks about three diseases that corrupt the character of a person:

One is indulgence in physical pleasures,

the second is love of property,

and the third is greed for reputation, which is desired in order to appear cute to others...

The most dangerous of these is greed for reputation.

I spent a long, long time living in Asia.Whe3n I was in China, it was starting to emerge, hell, they still used steam trains? FF today - the more KFC's, MickeyD's & Brittany Spears (but not, well, all of her?), the better.
Many restaurants had menus like this, albeit not in Euros. I ate it all.

I like this; I don't want anyone to perish but self-reflection certainly would be appreciated. I'm simply left thinking the opposite of love is Indifference.

Sociology long shot:

Did anyone here go through Prof. Greg Schiller's Sociology program at UCSB or USF in the 80's/90's?

Or remember him? I learned so much, still use his techniques today - and miss the guy. 24/7 Office Hours, he was there for me.

Bird Flu: I know this may be a tad morbid, but I'm sorta looking forward to breaking out the Tyvek again, playing horsey, (but with a New & Improved woman!) and maybe trying infosec stuff in a gas mask, which might improve my workflow since I suck so bad at it normally.

So I was just tootl'in along, and I almost stepped on this and fell down like a quasi-motion w/lots of stoke cartoon character. Well...not really, it's just I haven't seen a banana peel on the ground in a long time, just surreptitiously waiting to attack?

Lot's of history, recollections, and misinterpretations. I'll own it all if you ask. But if 'ya think the worst in me, enjoy the show. If you see the best, we'll both be rewarded in this world and the next.
