From California this sounds awfully familiar. Funny that it's the UK left that's pushing this where here the left insists private development must be penalized.

Here's food prices since 2019. An average of just over 5% a year. High relative to recent history, but amounting to 30% over the entire period. Not 3x (a 200% increase). Average wage for "Production and Nonsupervisory Employees" has grown by almost the exact same amount.
