Hi, the singular "they" has been around since at least the 1400s. From the Oxford English Dictionary:
Oxford English Dictionary definition of "they," Section 1.2.b: "with an antecedent referring to an individual generically or indefinitely...used especially so as to make a general reference to such an individual without specifying gender." This usage dates to around 1450.

The bottoms also use silver sequins, along with pink and green to make small flowers.
