I think it is an attempt to remain “fair and balance” and try to avoid accusations from the other side of supporting “vandalism and lawlessness.” In the end, they just help validate those accusations and move the focus from the item being protested (Genocide in Gaza) to the protestors behavior.

But to be perfectly clear: the first step is for the IDF to stop murdering civilians both in Gaza, the West Bank and everywhere.

It starts with stopping the genocide. Stopping the systematic destruction of infrastructure in Gaza. The systematic targeting of civilians. Stopping the colonization of Palestinian land. And with Hamas et al doing the same. Stop attacking Israel and targeting Israeli civilians

Reprisals against civilian populations are wrong. Hamas attacks were horrendous and criminal. The response from the Israeli government is as horrendous and criminal. It needs to stop.

Some of them have been targeted and destroyed by the IDF. Some of them are inoperative because of the IDF fuel blockade. Some were inoperative because of the IDF parts blockade. And some are inoperative because of mismanagement from Palestinian Authorities. Can’t wait to see how you twist my words!
