Theater/film/music/book lover. Lipstick hoarder. Ukrainian-American. Life on pause due to #LongCOVID of the #MECFS / #POTS / #MCAS variety. Left-ish libertarian-ish. Suffering NY Rangers fan. Audiobook connoisseuse.
So excited for this as an OG fan of the show!!

Lowkey love that because there were four new variables in play during this two day POTS/MCAS flare, the only way I can make sure it wasn’t the new medication is if I wait a couple weeks for my body to calm down and then try again in the *hopes* that my body doesn’t react violently again. No notes.

Me whenever someone with #LongCOVID or #MECFS tells a horror story about being mistreated and/or disbelieved by a doctor.

Name names!!!!

Quote with your first fragrance?

It was Shalimar. I was in high school. It was wildly inappropriate. So much so that my mother AND the sales lady both went “This is the one that you want? Are you sure?” And then sort of stared at each other and shrugged.

But I’d never felt more chic.

“…sometimes there is no way / to convince the heart that / this is beautiful.”

This from poet Jasmin Kaur is really hitting hard tonight.

So I don’t think the Vitalik Buterin account that was included in one of the LC/ME starter pack is actually the real Vitalik Buterin because while I don’t know the man, I don’t think he would be doing this.

My Long COVID doctor does immune testing via Amerimmune every 6-9 months. My latest round seems to indicate, as the last one did, that my body is trying to fight something and my immune system is dysfunctional and exhausted (in my case, having a hard time making antibodies). Good times!

Likely incoming chair of the Senate committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions on the RFK Jr. nomination.

He’s currently the Ranking Member and was extremely thoughtful and understanding during the committee’s hearing on #LongCOVID earlier this year.

Some of the doctors that have done irreparable harm to folks with #MECFS are now pivoting and trying to put themselves forth as #LongCOVID experts and it’s very much giving this energy

Being trolled by Audible today and I do not like it! First they were trying to get me to buy the Navalny memoir and now they’re peddling #MECFS pseudoscience.

Rewatching The Wire for the first time in a decade. Is there anyone as good as Aidan Gillen at playing a down low vicious self-serving little two-faced snake?

Me reading about any new research that comes out on #LongCOVID. As a theater and French double major, my brain was simply not built for science. Like, I resent that I have to know what a megakaryocyte is.

My husband’s grandmother turns 90 this weekend. Can’t be there to celebrate because of my exciting untreatable chronic illness, but she’s a dancing machine and I wish I could boogie with her this weekend.

Shoutout to that one professor whose Russian literature course I didn’t take in college because he and I got into an argument about whether Gogol (or as his fellow Ukrainians call him Hohol) should be in a Russian literature class. Decolonize art!

My husband thought taking a picture with a bird of prey in the Carpathian Mountains seemed like a good idea at the time.
