Age 34. Professional copy editor. Genderfluid and mostly asexual. Hellaverse fan here to follow Viv and interact with other Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss enthusiasts. Lately, I repost lots of links to fundraisers for struggling people in Palestine.
The text *does* work both ways. Say, is it overly self-promotional to place an edit I made of a first-season screencap here?

Did anyone else see Wally Wackford and Octavia in the new #HelluvaBoss Halloween merchandise and initially think the designs were referencing The Shining and Poltergeist? (For those who don't know, they're actually based on Saw and The Ring.)

Oh, good. Then I'd like to post it here:

It's disappointing when the numbers suggest a lot of focus on your favorite pairing but a closer look reveals that it often goes ignored. Maybe you'd appreciate some Chaggie-positive image edits:

led her to question her sexuality, Hazbin *did* enlighten her to something important about herself:

Perhaps more intriguingly yet, a small number of users discovered their transness through the Hellaverse:

A few fans reported, some of them using questionable language to do so, that Hazbin and HB opened their minds
to queer stories and even real queer people. (By
"forced on me," the writer of the first comment might have meant Disney-esque tokenism. The second comment is a reply to the first.)

Not many users singled out female characters who caused them to question their sexuality. The following samples are not only representative but nearly exhaustive:

More than one user spoke of their attraction to both Angel Dust and Stolas, by far the two characters mentioned in conjunction most often throughout the thread.

Of all the specific characters cited as causes for bisexual,
pansexual, or gay awakenings, Stolas and Angel Dust
were the most common:

Anyway, the writer of the top-rated comment credited both series in general with illuminating his own bisexuality to him:

The latest wave of Helluva Boss merchandise has met with hostility from outsiders, and with it has come conversation about puritanical stances among young people. Here, I'm sharing my own analysis of why these attitudes exist, because I don't believe the blame lies only with strict Christian dogma.
