*shrug* let's give it a go - genderless animist/feral buddhist, also plural so mostly use we/us instead of I/me - this is emphatically not a couples thing nor a royalty thing :) - (we're earhartsease on tumblr in case that's relevant)
omg extremely finally got our driving licence back (illness disqualification) and we and our friends instantly said "baader-meinhof!!" and here's why

@jesszafarris.bsky.social we just learned that the tabletop game Subbuteo is named for the eurasian hobby (Falco subbuteo) - the inventor wanted to just call the game Hobby but the patents office said nope, so he went smartarse on them

also subbuteo is sub-buteo, and buteo is latin for "buzzard"

we honestly have no idea how our cat came to be known as Sklibbage-Glibbage (aka Sklibbaggio, Skleeb-Gleeb, and various-slug-hovercraft) - she disappeared into the night in the early 90s and we're confident she now lives with a witch, is immortal, and is the size of a panther

the birds make a sound like "will, willem" so that's what that's all about (guillemot for scale - in the US and Cornwall they're also known as Murres)

@jesszafarris.bsky.social we saw this ad and immediately thought "is a pietaster someone who makes terrible pies?" because poetaster (word for a terrible poet)

hmm or someone who's a shit magpie? because poetaster = poet-aster (-aster = poor quality) so piet-aster because piet is a word for magpie?
