Jews, you do not need to read these replies on Yom Kippur. But leftist Gentiles who still insist there is not a problem with antisemitism on the left, you really do need to read these replies.
I am sickened by today’s attack in Manchester. Antisemitism is on the rise around the world, and we must do all we can to stomp it out. I am grateful to first responders and congregants who showed incredible bravery, and I am praying for those who were killed.

These will be my 6th elections in NL and I still find this idea of calculating platform papers bizar. Probably just a way for mainstream parties to distinguish themselves from the chaotic extremes, rather than get any useful debate on values, means and goals.
Een grote meerderheid van kiezers steunt het doorrekenen van verkiezingsprogramma's door een onafhankelijke organisatie zoals het CPB. Ook grote steun onder kiezers van partijen die hun programma niet willen doorrekenen.

Nothing says more "fostering solidarity and tolerance etc" than running around REC with a megaphne screaming "globalize intifada" and "kick out zionists". But not all is bad if horizon cooperations increased :)
I have an oped in my Uni paper about what the Uni can do viz the ongoing genocide. Supposedly, students are reading it on Insta, which seems like a good thing. Overall, the goal is to get things in focus: what could universities (in Europe), in fact, reasonably do? Here

Dat mijn universiteitsbestuur geen andere manier vindt om met protesterende studenten om te gaan dan politiegeweld, stelt me diep teleur.
Universiteiten die de ME op hun eigen studenten afsturen om hen in elkaar te laten slaan. Ik zal het nooit begrijpen. Schokkend, in alle opzichten. Dat geldt ook voor het slappe verhaal van de secretaris.
