Trump accused nonpartisan government employees of being “Democrat Agencies” before these mass firings. A week from now there are mass protest planned across the country. I don’t think these agencies are for Dems only, but they should be aware by now that only one party thinks they should exist.

I agree. And I think putting out a half-picture doesn’t give us the facts or evidence in a fair way. It assigns blame to fit a narrative.
A reminder that we should all hold our 'hot takes' on days like this till we have full information on motives, politics, etc.

So, (urgently, unfortunately) violence is wrong. Political violence is wrong. Assassinations are bad. Mass shootings are bad. Mob violence is bad. Free speech is good. Dialogue is good. Mass protests are good. Civil disobedience is good. This goes for all political/religious groups and others.

I see that Charlie Kirk stand are making lists of people they want to punish for not showing sufficient respect. I’m genuinely sorry for Charlie Kirk’s death and for his wife and children. The killer should be punished. But no one should be gaslit into believing he was anything but a hateful bigot.

I’m impressed by the King family’s reaction to Charlie Kirk’s assassination. I know it’s more grace than I've given the guy. Despite the anger that I’m feeling at the shooter and at the right wing, I think my own reaction probably could be a little more tempered and less defensive.

I think a bit of what #natesilver says here is true. Particularly the “smalltentism” bit. It makes me wonder about the rewards of emulating twitter in a negative way and how much good this platform accomplishes.
