Take it from an old Linux guy. You have the right idea. More is not better, often quite the opposite. Burnout is a dangerous thing, not just for creativity but for your mental health. It can effect things well beyond what you're burned out on. Thanks for being there for the new gen Linux users!

I don't have a problem with systemd, but choice is good. Unfortunately, Gnome, since version 3, has not been about user choice.
