Working on / advocating Linux & FOSS since 92. Always looking for small projects to help with project mgmt & promotion. At the same time, people should use what works for them. Only thing I hate, is hate!

Also love to play Path of Exile and other ARPGs.

Even coming from a C background, I don't mind Rust or the move to this. However, the way they are announcing and pushing this is very un-Debian like. I can understand why some devs are upset. Especially the timing. Much better ways of handling a change. This is an example of how not to.

Solus Update Post for Week 46, 2025
Updated Budgie to 10.9.4 and a host of other updates. The major is the preparation for the new 4.8 ISO. As a rolling release, users will not need to update, but new installs should be easier and up to date.

Flatpak had been in a bit of a lull in development, but anyone who has worked in dev understands that can happen. While I still prefer native 1st, there is no doubt that systems like Flatpak are a big part of the Linux desktop now, like it or not. #Linux #FOSS
