i'm doing a paper about technology and how it integrates into our daily lives!
we hope to be using our conclusions to help pioneer simpler, easier, more fluid and more accessible experiences for everyone, or at least help build them.
i'd appreciate it!!
Sometimes, open source software just feels right.
Be that because it prioritises user experience and community over profit margins, or it puts first the rights of the user to be free in their use, no one can stop you with open source.

like i don't wanna read an ai-generated README on your profile... i wanna read YOU
if i'm taking time out of my day to read your README, i don't want it to be some semi-deterministic averaged-out nonsense, i want to read an actual reflection of you and your thoughts
dude

Any sufficiently complicated service orchestration system contains an ad-hoc, informally-specified, bug-ridden, slow implementation of half of Erlang/OTP.

I've been teary off and on.
He just wanted to be a newlywed and they killed his dog and burned his house, and took his life and ruined his husband's life and I can't.
The cruelty of this world.
I can't.

on the 17th of May 1990, the world health organisation removed homosexuality from its list of mental disorders.
let this remind us of what we're capable of when we stand together. #may17th

i mean, the Nazis called themselves 'national socialists' and, as we all know, that turned out to be a VERY different thing to the kind of socialism we tend to imagine and usually mean when we use the word 'socialism' lol

don't let go. never give up. we cannot afford to let them win; we will go backwards if they get what they want, and that's probably the cheapest labour possible, regardless of our human rights.
That alone is good reason never to vote for Reform UK.
THIS IS WHY

autism is a divergence. it's not some immobilising, bladder-puncturing disease or illness
it's not for ya'll to treat.

what if we put our souls back into our designs?
there were perhaps once little intricacies in designs that really helped things just feel nice. have these intricacies gone away?
in a chase for mass appeal or trendy 'cleanliness', have we lost a lot of that character in designs?
the aesthetic was never the problem
what we need is designs that have actual love and care put into them
