Yeah, so much of all GW's worldbuilding/mythology could be considered a retcon.

It's actually fascinating looking at old stuff. YouTuber Jordan Sorcery has some god videos about this. They really put into perspective how much Warhammer lore has never been set in stone from the beginning.

We're not talking about rewriting the Bible or Qu'ran, we tweaking made up tales about plastic.

And you can't be a Warhammer fan and not be used to this. Ask anyone who's into Necrons or Bretonnians, or just go and look at original Rogue Trader.

People dragging up arguments like "it's retcon", "there's no evidence in the old lore!" etc are especially ridiculous to me.

So what if it's a massive change? The is just fictional stories about toy soldiers, and I say that as someone who loves both! Fiction can be changed, happens all the time.

If you knowingly and willing sign up for a job brutalising innocents, you've failed to clear the lowest possible bar. Judging those people as bad isn't arrogance, it's putting 2 and 2 together.

Buddy, you're not being noble. You're justifying toxic politeness over moral common sense.

If you choose to do bad things like the people working for ICE, which this is all about, then you've lost your moral worth.

We're not talking about innocent babies, we're talking about grown men who know better and choose worse. We don't need to ignore that because they used to be infants.

Saying "both sides bad" is an ignorant person's idea of an informed thing to say. It's a lazy excuse for not caring at best, and a smokescreen for supporting regressive politics at worse.

To many forget the difference between an ally of convenience and a dangerous enemy.

Part of me regretted going Imperial Guard over Custodes. Now I'm so glad I did, as these new models are awesome!
