i like both cypher system and genesys for offering a genre agnostic mechanics and guides on how to play any type of game with their systems. the main difference is, at least in my opinion, is that genesys puts a lot of onus on the GM to create the custom systems needed for a game and cypher doesn't.

i have two staplers, but one is like a tiny cutesy one that i sometimes lose because its so small, so i have to use my large one, and when i say large, its a booklet stapler capable of stapling a total width of pages of 12 inches or 30 cm

Two things can be true: 1.) The Game Awards are meaningless and we shouldn't take them all that seriously. 2.) Award shows of its scale DO rewrite the mainstream history of the art form, whether they deserve to or not, and its okay to care that it's so thoughtless despite having that responsibility.
