It’s fine to say that violence is never the answer, but I can’t help but observe that for Charlie Kirk violence was always the answer, and it was the only answer he offered, and, because of the privilege that he refused to admit he had, he could enact it from a comfortable and respectable place.

One hopes that the NDP and/or Greens somehow surge back from the abyss after this election... sure seems like they're all-but-gone this round

I'm reading this too! The way that it describes the devaluation of women's roles, especially the slandering of midwifery and the "patriarchy of the wage" were some really eye-opening parts. It's sobering to see how far back some recent social norms really go

For what it's worth, I hope a lot more people start reading yours too. I'm certainly recommending it wherever I can
