Exactly what I mean. Blue states run by Democrats are the ones safe for trans people and immigrants, but "both sides are the same" people are willfully ignoring that. Because having moral superiority on the Internet is a lot easier than actually standing for something.

"Both parties are the same" implies "Democrats protecting minorities is the same as Republicans dehumanizing them" which is just a roundabout way of not caring about minorities
