Or it may be that know they're going to put more people out of business/their home, and won't bail them out and they just don't fucking care. Which ya know, is not great either.

Normally, I would argue it would make sense as long as tariffs don't go up, that inflation would reach equilibrium.
But what I'm sure they aren't counting on is needing more bailouts and subsidies for those that simply can't function under these tarrifs. Bc these tarrifs are just so stupidly high.
