Great article. This is why I DON'T follow the "Treat others the way you want to be treated" rule.
Instead I "Treat people the way THEY want to be treated" which means you HAVE to get to know them so you can follow the rule.

If you believe there are good cops out there, I’m willing to accept that. But here’s my question to them: When the time comes and your overlords and superiors order you to protect their interests over the people, which side will you choose?

Experience IS the best teacher, but it's expensive. Leaders also learn from the mistakes of others. Better to admit you’re clueless and learn to communicate like a decent human, than go down the socio-PATH management puts you on. No one’s buys the “I’ve got it all figured out” routine #LEADERSHIP
