One of my favourite things about watching The Residence is that, despite its political setting, it in no way tries to shoehorn a Trumpian/MAGA archetype into the narrative. I get why a lot of film/TV does that lately, but it t just feels creatively lazy to me.

I might be oversimplifying, but it seems like the people decrying ‘censorship’ on socials are the same people wanting Xwitter to be a like a town square public forum. If you’d get in trouble shouting it in a town square, you can get in trouble posting it online
